Hello,

When I start up XP Pro, I get an error message from explorer.exe saying that it cannot read some memory or something at address x0292309 (something that looks somewhat like that).

I've searched on google for some help but nothing has fixed it. I'm running anti-virus software and what not, but what can I do to stop this from appearing? It's not a huge hassle because after I click all the necessary dialog box prompts explorer works fine, but it removes some things from the taskbar that I would like to have--plus who wants an annoying error message EVERY time you start up your computer.

You could try going to Start>Run type: msconfig select Startup Tab
and by trial and error uncheck a
few of the items at a time. Restart and see if you can narrow it down.
