When I start my computer (with windows XP home)
I get an error msg stating:
"Explorer has encountered an error and needs to close"
I cannot open files or programs unless I click on "send
error report" and do my other work while the report is
being sent. If I click on "don't send error report" my
desktop goes blank then comes back up with the same error
msg: "Explorer has encountered an error and needs to
close"
I have tried knowledge base and found 2 articles:
(822797 - deals with Qcbar.dll - which we don't have in
our registry)
((314867 - deals with Norton Clean Sweep - we don't have
Norton on our computer)
Two other possible puzzle peices:
We have been downloading many windows updates lately and
do have McAfee virus programs
Two CD-Rom programs that I loaded for my kids since this
problem began only work ocasionally - others times the
computer doesn't recognize that the discs are in the
drive (all other cd's play just fine)
I'm stumped any suggestions?
Thanks!
