Is there an option to set up explorer to display all items under "my
computer" rather than having to click the + beside it all the time. I don't
want it fully expanded ... but just want it to show all the drives.
Thanks for any suggestions.

There are ways but.........
Why not open My Computer instead.
To show My Computer on your Desktop....
Right click Desktop | Properties | Desktop tab |
Customize button | Check: My Computer | OK | Apply | OK

Or hit the Windows key and the E key

Will Denny send this to me. Works good for me. Doesn't expand everything
fully, but does reveal drives and folders in C: drive.

Set Windows Explorer to the View you want and then go to Tools>Folder
Options>View and click on 'Apply to All Folders'. Go to
Programs>Accessories, right click on the WE icon and select Properties.
Type or copy/paste the following into the 'Target:' box to have WE open with
the C drive expanded:

%systemroot%\EXPLORER.EXE /e,c:

A new Desktop shortcut for WE can be created with the same command.
