Explorer, desktop folders won't open - Please Help...

When I try to open "My Computer", the screen goes blank, comes back up
without opening anything. Then the Microsoft "Send / Do Not send message"
comes up.
I try to log into Microsoft Explorer and it does the same.
I can open programs I loaded like Musicmatch & Micrographx.

Please help....
