Explorer Crashes

This happens quite often to me, usually only when I open, close, or move
thru folders with My Computer. The window and taskbar will freeze, then both
will close. Taskbar comes back up, but without some of the icons that were
in the tray. As far as I can tell it doesn't do any real damage, the only
effect I've noticed is the missing icons. I've scanned my system with
Norton, Ad-aware, and Spy-bot and it came up clean. Is this just a general
XP problem or is there something I can do about it?

No, it's not a general XP problem. Try 1st booting into safe mode and see if
it happens there. Then try going into normal mode and disabling all of your
startup items and rebooting. If it works fine with all of your startup items
disabled then it's one of those items causing it.
