Whenever I open up IE I get this message in the error
window, "EXPLORER caused an invalid page fault in module
URLMON.DLL at 017f:1a406b8d." I have had NO troubles with
IE in the past year and now all of the sudden it's all I
can get. I am running Windows 98 2ed. I tried
downloading IE6 last night and it still does the same
thing. I have ran spybot search and destroy, norton, and
neither fix the problem. Can anyone help? Thanks

Are you by any chance using MSN as your home page?....if
so try changing it to another. There are a few other
people who are having the same problem and that seems to
give it a quick fix...until we can figure out whats going
on. Also if you have netscape downloaded on your computer,
you can use that without aby problems at all.
hope this helps

I had the same problem today after installing the IE update. (MSN was my homepage also)
try start->settings->control panel->add remove programs->microsoft internet explorer->repair internet explore
it fixed the problem for me, but I think it may have removed the update that I installed (leaving a security vulnerability)
(Attn XP users, the above directions won't work for you.)
