Explorer caused an invaled page fault in ........

I am constantaly getting the message explorer caused an
invaled page fault in module GDI.EXE at 0001:0000@5db.
After getting this message my computer usually crashes.
What is the problem and how do I fix it? It is really
fustrating.

If explorer is the culprit I can offer this.
