Explorer cannot remember many View Settings

If I set Explorer's View Settings to a non default, such as Thumbnails view instead of Tiles view, Explorer later reverts to the default by itself. The problem is that I am making the change in too many Folders. There is a setting in the Registry that increases the maximum number of Folders whose settings can be remembered. What is that setting?
