Hi
I have installed the evaluation edition for windows xp embedded and I read
that the image you make with it only work 120 days.
Does anybody know whether the evaluation edition suddenly expires ??

Cheers,
Brian

Just to add to that...

Eval version of XPe ToolKit is not really the cause for 120 image expiration. You have to purchase runtime licenses and use proper
PID in TD settings (contact an XPe distributor for more details).

Although you cannot create a non-eval runtime with Eval XPe Tool kit as there is no PID field in settings there (it uses a default
predefined PID with expiration).

Yes it does expire. Set your system date/time ahead to see.

HTH... Doug

Just to clarify - only the runtime will expire. The eval tools and
database will not. You can generate as many eval runtimes for as long
as you want with the eval tools and DB. When you want to ship a real
runtime with no time limits, you need the full product tools and DB.

Ok, just out of curiosity. Does this ork in the other direction too? ;-)
