Hi:
Need Help!
My purchase of a HP Pentium 4 in March came with pre-
loaded Microsoft XP Home Edition software. I did not
realize I needed to renew subscription and now cannot
pull it up. Since I did not get an original copy of the
CD software I cannot load it myself. How do I handle this
problem ASAP? Thanks. Need help. Margie

The Windows XP Home Edition "operating system" does not "expire".
I think you are referring to a "trial version" of "Office XP". In order
to continue to use "Office XP", you'll have to purchase a "Full Version"
of Office XP or the newer version, "Office 2003" and install it.

HOW TO: Upgrade a Trial Version of Office XP to a Non-Trial Version of Office XP

Windows XP doesn't have a subscription that needs to be renewed. Perhaps if
you explain what the problem is, error messages, etc., someone will be able
to sort it out for you.

As far as the software, HP puts it on a hidden partition on your hard drive.
So you should have it there, unless you've somehow erased the whole hard
drive.
