expanding images

IE 6 is enlarging and thus distorting all images. I have
tried every setting I can find to correct this. Images are
fine in Netscape and various images viewer. When images in
Netscape or image viewer are placed side by side with IE,
IE images are larger and pixelated. I am runnning XP Pro
on Dell Inspiron Laptop; have updated with latest patches;
uninstalled and reinstalled IE; video card is Mobility
Radeon 9000. ???

Have you tried this one...?
Tools > Internet Options > Advanced, Multimedia
Uncheck "Enable Automatic Image Resizing"
