Expand Distribution Lists

Is there a way to automatically expand distribution lists once they are in
the To: box of an email in Outlook 2003, Exchange 2003. That way they names
of the people are showing when a user selects the distribution list from the
Global Address book. thank you
 
Can that be done automatically without user intervention?
