Exit design mode

I've added a few radio buttons on a word document.
Everytime I open it, it is always in design mode. I have
to exit design mode before I can use those buttons. How
can I avoid this? I'm using Word 2000.

change your macro security to "Medium" and enable macros
when opening the document. Controls from the Control
Toolbox toolbar contain a "VBA stub" and trigger macro
security.
