another quick one: when i recently installed XP Pro over
my old XP Pro installation, all of the Programs i had
installed, as far as i know were removed from the
registry or something, because they are all still
installed on the hard drive, but windows acts as if
nothing is there, eg. in the add/remove programs there
are no programs to remove, i can't run any of the
programs because it says they haven't been installed
correctly or there are dll's missing. In WIN ME that i
had previous to XP Pro, whenever i reinstalled windows,
all my programs were preserved, but i guess in the case
of XP, i will have to delete all the programs from
the "program files" folder and install them again. If
there is any other way i can get around this, please let
me know, cheers - Dylan
