Excluding Zeros in an Average

I have controlled fields on a report; the Control Source
is set to return the average of scores as stored in the
fields of a table (simple math - no VBA needed!). I've
always been under the impression that Access ignores zeros
when computing an average; however - it's not! Any ideas
why/how to fix?

You would need to use something like:
=Sum([YourField])/Abs(Sum([YourField]<>0 ) )
