Are excluded partitions (in WinXP) the same as hidden partitions? If not,
what's the difference?

Hi Largonole,
Excluded partitions in Windows XP context means that partition is excluded
from being monitored by the “system restores†service. So this is not as
same as a hidden partition and just an “exclusion†from being monitored by
the system restore service. If you don’t want to monitor and rollback any
changes to a partition (you might be able to save some disk space with it),
go to the “system properties†-> then to “System restore†and click the
desired partition and then select “Turn off system restore on this driveâ€
check box.

Hope this helps

Thanks for the quick response!
