Dear Roady, (Re posting)
Good Day to you

Can I keep my Exchange mails and my personal SMTP email in
to one box(I mean personal folder as PST in outlook).
I like to keep the exchange mail in my local harddisk + my
personal mail.
For this, do I need to have 2 personal folder under Outlook

Exchange Outlook 2000
pls advise

No, you can use one PST file and get all your mails delivered to the same
folder. Please let me know if you need directions. Should be simple enough
if you go into E-Mail Accounts settings.

Dear Sumeeth,

Thanks for the advise...
What I mean - I would like to keep all my exchange based
mail and personal SMTP mail in one pst file - can I do
that?

you said NO - is that meant no need to create 2 personal
folders?

how about if I keep the mail in the Exchange server, all
my mail will be in the Exchange inbox in outlook and
personal smtp mail will be in the pst inbox - is that
correct?

pls advise

Anver

Exchange mail (if I set to keep in the local hard disk)

That's the way Outlook works by default. Outlook has only one data store
for all items, no matter how many accounts you have. All accounts that
participate in the send/receive group will have incoming mesasges deposited
in the default delivery Inbox.

No. You need have only a single PST. Watch that 1.83 Gb limit, though.
Also be aware that if you have your default delivery location be a local
PST, no one else on the Exchange server will be able to see your calendar to
coordinate meetings with you.
