The Security Event Log for a my recently assigned W2K desktop has
an enormous amount (30 to 50 per day, 24/7) of "Successfull" Security
Audits,. USER Anonymous , no computer name, event id, catagory, or
desciption are given. My concern is I entered a multitude of new passwords
for access the network, are they compromised and should the IT security be
advised?

Thanks, Les

You most probably did nothing wrong.
Your IT security should be advised, not that it is happening,
but that you are aware it should not be happening in a well
configured desktop system, even W2k which was less able
to be easily set to refuse this than later Windows versions.

Thanks Roger, I brought the issue up with the tech authorized
to configure the local machines and he added he had
a spy sweeper type program running, since then the null type
events have ceased.
