We have just replaced a faulty motherboard and now are iunable to open
documents. We appear top have lost excel - how do we restore as the PC will
no longer recognise the restore CD.

You posted this earlier today and received several responses. Look for your
previous message. If you're having trouble finding it, it's because you're
using the web interface which is lousy. To find a previous message search
on your name as the author using Google groups advanced search, in the
newsgroup microsoft.public.windowsxp.general. Here is the link to it.

Better yet use a newsreader to access these newsgroups, not the web
interface. XP comes with Outlook Express. Here is a link on how to set it
up for newsgroup access.
