I purchased my computer from Dell. For some reason excel
was not included in my software. I checked with them and
they stated that I needed to contact microsoft, that they
did not include it in my package. Please advise. thanking
you in advance fo ryour immediate attention.

Excel does not come with any version of windows, it has to be purchased
separately unless you specifically purchased a software bundle with your
computer that included it.

Not part of any operating system. Part of Office97/2000/2003 or can be
purchased stand-alone.

Greetings --

Neither the Microsoft Office application suite, nor any of its
individual component applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access,
Outlook, etc.), have _ever_ been "part" of *any* Windows operating
system. They are, and always have been, separate applications, that
must be purchased and installed separately.

When you ordered your system from Dell, did you ASK for Microsoft Office or
Excel?
If yes - then Dell should give it to you.
If no - then it's never been part of Windows. Excel (and the other Office
applications) are seperate programs.
