Excel worksheets automatically opening...

hello, I would be most appreciative of anyone that can
assist me with this problem:

every time I open up Excel every single worksheet that
I've ever created in Excel opens up! I literally have to
then manually close all but the one worksheet that I want
to work on.

How do I stop this from happening?
