Excel Text Box Controls

Is there any way to allow a user of a spreadsheet to cut and paste text in and out of an Excel Text Box? Is there a setting that I am missing? Also, the workbook is protected from altering specific cells.

Ron, when protecting the workbook, deselect the Objects check box under
Protect worksheet for (Tools > Protection > Protect Sheet). That will allow
users to cut/copy and paste into and out of text boxes. (I'm using Excel
2000, btw. YMMV.)

Sorry, but I need a clearer explanation

I've tried every combination of checkign and uncheckign the object box under Protect Sheet and am still unable to copy text out of and paste text into an Excel text box. Please help!

What do you mean by clearer explanation? What version of Excel are you
using?
You got an answer how to do it in Excel 2000, in Excel 2002 and 2003 you
select edit objects when you protect the sheet. Also not that you have to
use
Ctrl + C since edit>copy will be grayed out

Ah, I think I've got it. I have been inserting text boxes from the "Control Toolbox" toolbar, but just discovered that the text box available on the "Drawing" toolbar can do what you are suggesting.

Next question: Using a "Drawing" toolbar text box, can I allow the user to access spell check when the sheet is protected?
