Excel Template and built in instructions

I am using a Excel template for invoices and I have modified several of the
cells.

Can someone please tell me how to remove the built in instructions that
appear when I place the cursor in a cell---the instruction is specific to the
cell and gives detailed instructions as to how to fill in the cell and what
will be returned.

right click on this cell and choose 'Delete comment'

this didn't work as it is not a "comment"

As an example go to the standard Sales Invoice template and you will note
that if you place the cursor in cell address c3 and click a white box appears
with the heading "Company Information To enter multiple lines in a single
cell,.....

Is it possible to get rid of this box and the instructions contained therein?

I don't have that template, but could it be Data|Validation?
