Excel spreadsheets don't open right when downloaded in Internet Explorer

When I download an Excel spreadsheet from the web, it
doesn't open in Excel but in a limited menu under
Internet Explorer. How can I get these spreadsheets to
open properly? I'm using Internet Explorer 6.0 and Excel
2002.
 
If you open the spreadsheet from within IE, I believe it will always open
with limited menu/toolbar options. If you want to do more extensive work
with the ss, Save to your HD and do it there.
