Excel - replace string to numeric format

Hello,

I export report from system to excel, and excel treats numbers as
string ( placed on left side of cell).
To replace to number format i have to in to each cell and press enter.
It that string is 42 its OK, but if 43,32 treats as string.

It happen only in excel 97.

WTF ???

How automaticly replace this.

Hi

rather than clicking in each cell and pressing enter go to a blank unused
cell (even one on another sheet) and choose copy
then select your whole sheet and choose
edit / paste special - add
this should fix up the numbers for you all in one go.
