In a Excel 2007 file I have 1A,1B,2A,2B,3A,3B..... If I sort the file
10A,10B,11A,11B sorts in this order. How to make sort in 1A,1B,2A,2B,3A,3B
order?

Do you mean 10A/B and 11A/B are sorting before 2A/B?

If so that's because they're a mixture of numbers and characters which
Excel treats as text. This article might help:
