Client needs rolodex of customers loaded off site into
Outlook. Can I create a data base in Excel to import into
Outlook.

Yes. I suggest you export a very small database (just one contact will do)
from Outlook into Excel file format. That will give you all the headers in
exactly the spelling that Outlook recognises. Just put your customer data in
these fields and you will easily be able to import into Outlook.
