We have Excel and Outlook 2002 and I am trying to link
specific cells from a task in Outlook to Excel. Is this
possible to be done.

Create a linked object or embedded object from information in a
existing file
Open the file that contains the information you want to create a linke
object or embedded object from, and then select the information.

Click Copy or Cut .

Switch to the item you want to place the information in, and then clic
where you want the information to appear.

On the Edit menu, click Paste Special.

To create a linked object, click Paste Link.
To create an embedded object, click Paste. In the As box, click th
entry with the file format you want to use. For example, if you copie
the information from a Word document, click Microsoft Word Document.

Notes

You cannot create a linked object or embedded object in a differen
location within the same item or between items in Outlook.

When you create an embedded object from information in an existin
Microsoft Excel workbook, the entire workbook is inserted into you
item. The item displays only one worksheet at a time. To display
different worksheet, double-click the Microsoft Excel object, and the
click a different worksheet
