Is there a PC limation for editing an excel file with
29MB? Opening a file is not the problem but when editing
or replacing a word the PC hangs-up. I'm using a P4
3.2Ghz with 1GB of memory with 80GB of HD. I don't think
its the PC that have a problem but the MS Excel has
certain limation with large files.

Hi Macoy!

With your set up there shouldn't be a problem.

The most likely cause is that a vital area of the system used by Excel
is full of junk and needs clearing out.

Close down and re-open the computer just to make sure that all
installations are complete.

In Windows 95/98 and ME:

Delete all files in C:\Windows\Temp

In Windows NT/2000/XP:

Find and Select C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\local settings\temp

They are left behind by installing programs but Excel needs the space.

Try again with Excel.

If this doesn't work then it could be a bloated xlb file although this
is unlikely if you have Excel 2002 or above. Search for the xlb file
and if it much above 50KB in size you should change its name or delete
it.
