excel mail merge to word

I got my excel spreadsheet to merge to word for labels ...
but when i print it out - it is all weird letters and
characters - and yes, i have it on the right printer - can
anyone help me?????????? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE dont make me
beg anymore!
 
Don't know if this will help.
Turn off printer
clear print jobs
exit excel
come back
turn on printer
try again
 
In Excel you need to go to "Format" then "Column"
then "autofit selection", before saving. Then merge the
documents.

What happens if you merge to a new file - does that look okay on screen?
