Excel: I need to be able to freeze a sheet tab in Excel.

I am attempting to freeze the first sheet tab in my workbook. I need to lock
it in place so that I can scroll across other tabs and collect data.

Any suggestions and I would like a response please. I use Microsoft
exclusively on a daily basis.

Not an option, AFAIK. How about having 2 windows of the same workbook open
(Window -- New Window)? You could stay on the first sheet in one window, &
navigate the other tabs in the other window (switching between them with
CTRL+Tab).

If you take Andy's suggestion one step further you could then use Window >
Arrange and see both windows at the same time.

Thank you both for your suggestions. This may just work but it would be a
nice feature to add to future software updates.
