Hi
I am a mechanical designer trying to order steel.
I am trying to optimize a 21' pipe length using various qtys of different cut lengths. (basically nesting several cut lengths into a single 21' pipe)
I have an excel column containing the different cut lengths and a column containing the quantity of each pipe cut.
I am quite sure there is a function (or a few functions) to gather the various lengths and "nest" them into x amount of 21' pipes. I just have no clue what it is.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
