The vertical gridlines have gone missing from all of my
excel documents on all worksheets. This is a recent
occurrence & and not triggered by new software etc.

I can add gridlines using Format-Cell-Bordet etc.. but
only to the selected cells.

Any suggestions please?

Thats strange - Have you tried the gridlines option in TOOLS - OPTIONS
GENERAL. Try unchecking the box then OK it, then go back in and check i
again. I dont know if this will work for your problem but its worth
try

What color is your spreadsheet? Gridlines may disappear if you change it from
automatic

Try changing the zoom to 100%. Perhaps make a copy
of the worksheet and also change to font size to 10 to see if that
makes any difference.

Doesn't sound like your problem because you would be missing
*both* horizontal and vertical gridlines around a cell, but using
white instead of automatic for background (interior) color would
lose gridlines and you would have to use borders instead.

To put borders around *all* of your cells first use Ctrl+A to first
select all cells. If you have Excel 2003 look at my shortx2k.htm,
downgrade, or hit Ctrl+A until it selects all cells instead of acting
like Ctrl+* (current region).

Does this problem with missing vertical gridlines appear both in
display and in printing. Your print drivers control both, but your
printer has a much higher resolution than our screen. Something
like 300 dpi vs. 72 dpi for instance.
