excel font changes

When I edit an excel table embeded in powerpoint 2003 with SP1 the font
changes on the excel table. How do I keep the font from changing?
 
It's changing from what font to what font? Does it change while you work or
after you exit the embedded Excel file or what?

Also, what's the default font in your PPT presentation -- on both the
placeholders and if you just type a new manual textbox?

Finally, how did you embed the Excel table into PPT?
 
Is your font below 8 points?
If so, in Tools + Options + Print check the checkbox that is something
like "Print inserted objects at Printer Resolution"
