Anyone know of a file extention that excel will open a
text file using spaces. e.g. .csv opens text files with
comma seperation.

Hi Garry!

To open a .csv file

File > Open
Select Text Files from "Files of Type" drop down'
Locate the file and then click "Open"

Thanks Norman
I can open .csv files ok. I would like to open a text
file (.txt)in a spreadsheet (Excel) using the whitespace
(spacebar) instead of using the comma. I'm after each
word of the text inserted into a seperate cell.
Thanks for the help.

Hi Garry!

Take a look at:

Data > Text to Columns

That should do what you want.

Just re-read your message more thoroughly and it clicked.
It worked!
Thanks for your help.
Much appreciated.

Hi Garry!

Good to hear that you're up and running.

Come back with any problems as very often the csv data needs playing
around with by Excel formulas.
