excel division formula question

what formula would i use for this:
ive got 2 cell's...
team 1 has 9 wins and 5 losses...how would i figure the winning percentage
which in this case is (.614) ... im dealing with a 14 game season... what
would i use to compute this...

ive tried this and it's not working...
=sum(c9+d9)/d9
c9 for 9 wins / d9 for 5 losses

Try:

=C9/(C9+D9)

formatted as percent.
