Excel - Data Validation Question

I am trying to get my head around the following scenario – bu
struggling. Please can someone help:

I have setup 2 data validation lists:

“Consequence” List 1 : Serious, Significant, Minor

“Likelihood” List 2 : Probable, Possible, Remote, Nil

How do I setup 2 further lists which act on that initial preference
I.e. so if Serious & Probable were chosen, 2 further set lists woul
appear. (The lists would change depending on the initial preference)

(Hope you follow)

I then need to equate the data into a numerical form.

I have studied the contexture site in some detail but still stuck!
