Has anyone ever done this? I've tried several ways to do
this that seem like they should work and they don't. I've
been sent several multi-hundred lined worksheets that
include mailing label information, and I really don't want
to have to type it again by hand into Word.

Linda,

Tell how your data in the table is laid out. Give a couple of rows of
examples. Include the headings.

You are able to open excel sheets in word. Open word and
go to file open as you would normally. In the open
dialogue box select "files of type", "all files" Select
the excel spreadsheet you wish to use and a new dialogue
box will appear, sleect the option you want ie Entire
Workbook, Worksheet, Named worksheet etc. The format is
not always perfect especially if you have special fonts.
You are then able to use this for your data source file
for mailmerge labels.

Hope this is of help.

You should not open the Excel file in Word, as it could be accidentally
saved as a Word file, and lose all its Excel features.

Instead, use the Mail Merge Wizard, and select the Excel file as the
data source.
