Excel accounting format

I have an entire column formatted to accounting. But, when I type in a
certain amount - $50.47 it changes that to display "14 Marena St47" . What is
this- even when i change that cell to 'text' format, it still always displays
this 14 marena st47. It does the same for currencyI have encountered this
problem before and have no idea how to fix it. It seems to display this same
thing. But in the same column, I don't have problems typing in other amounts-
ie $59.83 displays as $59.83. Please help me!! This is very frustrating!!
 
Try checking AutoCorrect options ..

Click Tools > AutoCorrect options
Scroll through & look for a entry
which resembles the replacement phenomena,
eg: 50.47 : 14 Marena St47
Click "Delete" > OK
