Excel 97 - Maximum Number of Records

I was given an Excel 97 spreadsheet that performs calculations on dat
pasted in from Access. The problem is it limits the maximum number o
records (rows) to 800. If more records are pasted in from Access, th
Excel program executes with errors. I don't know the method used t
place the 800 record restriction but I would like to increase it to
larger number. I've tried going to Tools, Macro, Macros where I fin
the program but I can't identify what causes the restriction so that
can increase the number of rows. I'm new to Excel, so please excuse m
if this is a dumb question
