Hello all,
My excel 97 always crush and make me lost my data!!! ><
Because of the budget, i must use the excel 97.
I had updated the service pack, but it did not help.
Any one know any program can auto backup the workbooks of excel 97?

Thank you,
Moosca

Excel 97 was equipped with the AutoSave add-in. With this in use, Excel will
make incremental backups at an interval you select.

Tools>Add-ins. Look for AutoSave and check it.

If you don't see it in the list, perhaps you it was not installed with the
original installation.

The file you would look for is AUTOSAVE.XLA. Try a file search on that name.

If not found you will have to do a partial install to get it.

Have your CD ready and go to Control Panel Add/Remove and click on MS Office.
You can select additional components to install.

In addition to the above......Jan Karel Pieterse has an addin called AutoSafe

It doesn't overwrite the existing workbook when it saves. It saves to a user
selectable folder. And when it's done, it either deletes these backups (or
puts them in the recycle bin). And the user can always restore the backups
from the recycle bin.

(look for AutoSafe.zip)
