excel 2007

I use a compaq R4000 laptop and recently install excel 2007. A spreadsheet I
use has a number of text boxes. If I click into a text box to edit the
content the curser jumps to the begining of a line if I type, and the
direction keys go in the wrong direction
 
Check out the first option under

OfficeButton>Excel Option>Advanced>Editing Options
