I just got Excel 2007 installed on my PC. But am very disappointed to see
that there are the same no of rows and columns as were in 2003 ver.

I had heard that the new version has around 10 million rows? Is that not true?

Here's something to check if you have 64k rows with a new workbook.
In Excel 2007, click the Office Button (Upper Left)
Click Excel Options on Lower Right
Click Save.
Check the top line "Save files in this format"
Make sure you don't have something like "Excel 97-2003 Workbook."
Perhaps select one of the first two options in the list.
Close, and reopen Excel.

Check to make sure Excel doesn't read [Compatibility Mode] in the
title bar. If it is, you will be limited to 65k rows and 256 columns.

yes really it reads so...how to get rid of it then?
Thanks for locating it.

Hi Malik

As was suggested earlier in the thread, you need to save the file in an
XL2007 format
Click the round Office button>File>Save As>choose the first option if your
file has no macros, or the second option if it does.
Then close the file and re-open.

It will now not be in Compatibility Mode. and you will have access to the
full range of 1,048,576 rows
