Hi,

I have Excel 2007 SP1. I autofilter my data and I copy the filtered rows. I
open another spreadsheet and paste the data. When I do this I get blank data.
It acts as if it pasted the data (it shows a highlighted area), but there is
no data. Any ideas?

Thanks

Cut and Paste Problem using AutoFilter

I am using Excel 2003 with a similar problem. I use an autofilter to show only non-blank lines in one column and am trying to copy/paste the data into another column. what is happening is that when i paste the date into the other column, excel pastes it consecutive rows, including the rows that are hidden.
For example: let's say that i have something like this...
asdf1.jpg

end then i filter by column C to show non blanks...
asdf2.jpg

then i copy column C and paste it into column B it looks like..
asdf3.jpg

and when i remove the autofilter, you will see that the data pasted linearly, including the hidden rows..
asdf4.jpg

BUT.. what I want to do (AND what was working until just now).. is when I paste the data into column B, it would look like..
asdf5.jpg

and when i disabled the filter, I would see..
asdf6.jpg

please help.
