Why does B2TR not remember column widths? Is this a know problem?

I adjust columns.. using all available methods.. ie double click the border
bar, right click and adust manually, select a range of columns and set
manually or double click the border bar. All looks great... then save ...
reopen.. Random Columns are too narrow again. This is one of two huge
workbooks... 18 worksheets each.. lots of data.. and links to each other.

This is an issue that has come up many times in the past in the newsgroups,
so I know it's real. But I've never experienced it one time in my 14 years
of using Excel. And I've never heard of an explanation or answer. You may
be the first to report it with Excel 2007. I'm a beta tester for it and I'm
sure MS would love to get a reproducible example. If you have one send it
to me with the _exact_ steps to reproduce the problem. Be sure it does
repro for you. Clear all the confidential data first if you want. It can
be an empty workbook, as long as the issue repros.
