For no reason each time I try to open excel or a folder I
now get a message saying its installing, then switches to
insert Cd. As my machine arrived with Windows XP Home
Edition already installed I have no disk to do this. Then
it states, Find installation package DATA1.MSI in a folder
from which you can install the product MS Office 2000 SR -
Professional.
I need help urgently as I do all my accounts etc in Excel.

Thanks
Llew

Windows XP HE is an operating system and does not come packaged with MS Office
Applications.

If you have MS Office applications on your computer, they were installed by
the original seller/owner.

You will need a separate CD for MS Office, even if you did have a Windows XP
HE CD.

Sounds to me like the original install of Office was not done correctly to
"run from computer".

Suggest you contact seller and ask for CD's and do a proper installation.
