On a PC running Windows XP, I have a very large Excel 2002
spreadsheet and every time I scroll across the spreadsheet
you see the window pane slowly moving to the left as I
scroll to the right. This is a Dell Precision 650 with a
1GB of memory. Is there some setting within Excel that
needs to be set? HELP, This is very frustrating.

It is not clear what you want. When I scroll to the right, the window also
appears to move to the left. Otherwise I would not be able to see what I am
scrolling to the right to see.

If you mean the screen updates when you use the scrollbar at the bottom of the
screen, then this is normal behavior (but new in xl2002 if I recall correctly).

If you mean the screen moves when you're using the arrow keys on the keyboard,
then it sounds like you hit the scroll lock key. Just hit the scroll lock again
to toggle it off.

(and excel tries to help by showing "SCRL" in the statusbar at the bottom right
of the screen.)

I assume, from the OPs inclusion of system spec, that the important word in
her post was "slowly".
