Excel 2002 wont unprotect

Help!! Too much tinkering on the Excel file eventually
led to this dilemma... I cant unprotect the file. I
remember:
1. protecting each worksheet from Tools/protect worksheet.
2. and then "Protected and shared" the entire
workbook....

now when the file is opened, I can see the "Unprotect
Shared Workbook" but the "Unprotect Sheet" is greyed even
though after I unprotected the shared workbook. I just
cant find any resources to unprotect this file anymore.
Please help.
 
You must unshare the workbook before you can unprotect sheets. Tools, Share
Workbook and uncheck the Allow changes... checkbox.
