excel 2000

in a spreadsheet some cells are missing their borders when viewed in print preview and also when printing a hard copy, I went to q211647 on the microsoft knowledge base. it spoke about embedded cells but did not solve the issue. I thought the purpose was to give clean information so that the problem could be solved

could one of you help

I'd select this cell and the surrounding cells (so as many as 9 cells) and
do an Edit, Clear, Formats. If some stray formatting is the cause of this
problem this should take care of it.
