hi:

i am producing a csv file, in big5 or utf8.
but excel displays rectangles. it is not handling
the data correctly.

How do i setup excel for supporting these encodings.
If you can provide me links for downloads that will be
fine.

When I have seen this before, it is a font issue. If you
change the font to Arial Unicode in Excel, it should work
OK. If you don't have this font, you need to install
the "Universal font" in MS office. You may not need to
install a font if you are using XP, but in Windows 2000
you have to install it. If you are working with one
multibyte language only, you can also install language
support for just that language rather than Arial Unicode.

I have the same issue with UTF-8 encoded CSV files. I have WIndows XP with all those fonts installed as mentioned. But the error still occors. Can you help me
